- Overview

Microsoft MS-DOS, Windows 95osr2/98/98SE/Me, Windows NT/2000/XP 운영체제를 위한 인터페이스 시스템은 IEEE-488.2 와 SCPI 표준을 완벽하게 지원하며, 모든 컴퓨터의 시스템 컨트롤러로서 작동합니다. Windows 95osr2/98/98SE/Me, Windows NT/2000/XP를 사용할 때에도 HP SICL/TULIP 표준이 잘 지원됩니다.

이들 인터페이스들을 개발할 때의 주된 목표는 친근한 사용자 인터페이스와 모든 하이 레벨 프로그래밍 언어 명령어들을 사용하는 시스템을 만드는 것이었습니다. 이러한 명령어 구조를 위해 HP syntax(Hewlett Pacard / HP-Basic)를 사용하게 되었습니다.

NT 드라이버 팩키지는 Windows NT 3.51버전과 4.0 버전에서 작동합니다. 비록 Windows NT가 Windows 95보다 각기 다른 드라이버 개념을 더 잘 통합할지라도, 사용자와 애플리케이션 언어가 유지되고, 드라이버들간의 차이가 감춰집니다. 이것은 Microsoft 2000 운영 체제에도 마찬가지로 적용됩니다.
